How Does the MEACEP PAC Make a Difference?

Through contributions to the Maine Emergency Medicine Action Committee (MEACEP PAC), we can spotlight and support legislators who champion the priorities of our members and chapter. The PAC creates opportunities to:

  • Connect with policymakers in meaningful ways
  • Highlight our legislative agenda in diverse forums
  • Build lasting relationships with elected officials who value physician input

These efforts strengthen our influence and ensure emergency physicians have a seat at the table.

National ACEP NEMPAC

Recognizing the importance of political advocacy, the American College of Emergency Physicians (ACEP) established the National Emergency Medicine Political Action Committee (NEMPAC) in 1980. NEMPAC is a voluntary, nonprofit, unincorporated association operating as a separate, segregated fund of ACEP. It solicits voluntary contributions from ACEP members and supports candidates for federal office who understand emergency medicine. Learn more about NEMPAC

  • Contributions to MEACEP PAC are not deductible for federal or state income tax purposes.
  • Voluntary contributions should be made with personal funds and comply with FEC regulations.
