Bringing Maine’s Emergency Medicine Community Together—Strengthening Ties Beyond the Hospital Walls
Join us for one of MEACEP’s most anticipated events of the year—our 2nd Quarter Membership Meeting on the beautiful coast of Boothbay Harbor. This annual tradition offers a unique opportunity to connect with colleagues, enjoy the natural beauty of Maine’s coastline, and celebrate the strength of our emergency medicine community.
This event is more than a meeting—it’s a celebration of community, collaboration, and shared purpose in a setting that captures the essence of Maine. We hope you’ll join us for this unforgettable experience.

Cabbage Island Clambakes
22 Commercial Street, Boothbay Harbor, ME 04538
Fisherman’s Wharf, adjacent to the Fisherman’s Wharf Inn and public restrooms
🕓 Schedule for 2026:
- 4:00 – 4:30 PM – Meet at the pier for ticket pickup
- 4:45 PM – ⛴️ Boat Departs at 4:45 PM sharp for a narrated cruise of Boothbay Harbor
- 5:30 PM – Dinner and Chapter Business Meeting on Cabbage Island
- 8:30 PM – Return to Boothbay Harbor
🦞 Clambake Menu
Guests will enjoy a traditional Downeast feast:
- Steaming fish chowder
- Two lobsters or chicken dinner
- One pound of fresh steamer clams
- Corn on the cob, potato, onion, and egg
- Famous blueberry cake
- Coffee, tea, iced tea, and water included
A full cash bar is available on the boat and island.
Please note: The venue does not accept credit or debit cards.
🎟️ Registration & Pricing
- MEACEP Members: Free (Lobster or Chicken dinner included)
- Guest Registration: $100.00 (Lobster or Chicken dinner)
- Youth Registration (Age 11 & Under): $50.00 – Hot Dog Meal (includes cruise, chowder, two hot dogs, chips, pickles, blueberry cake, and a drink)
- Boat Ticket Only (Age 2 & Under): $40.00
- Children Age 2 & Under (not eating): Free boat ride
We anticipate high interest this year and strongly recommend reserving your tickets early. The clambake and meeting will take place rain or shine.
🚗 Parking Information
Boothbay Harbor offers four municipal parking lots within walking distance of the pier. Parking is generally $2.00 per hour, payable by plate at a pay station. All major credit/debit cards are accepted.

- Howard Street #1 Lot – 11 Howard Street
- Howard Street #2 Lot – 4 Oak Street
- Oak Street Lot – 15 Oak Street

🏝️ Island Activities
While on the island, enjoy:
- Fishing from the dock
- Horseshoes, volleyball, and badminton
- Exploring the island or relaxing by the water
- Watching local fishermen haul in their traps
🌦️ Weather Considerations
The event will be held rain or shine. In case of inclement weather, the island lodge can accommodate up to 175 guests. We recommend bringing rain gear or an umbrella, just in case.
